Pancha-Kanyas

Pancha Kanyas - Mohiniyattam Dance Production

This Mohiniyattam dance production associates Pancha Kanyas - Ahalya, Draupadi, Sita, Tara and Mandodari, with the five primodial elements (Pancha Bhutas) - Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether. The dance portrays the Pancha Kanyas, not merely as legendary women who went through extraordinarily complex circumstances, but as manifestations of the five elemental forces.
