In order to preserve, promote and disseminate the contributions of Leelamma in the field of Mohiniyattam both as a teacher, performer and researcher, her children, Dr. Krishna Priya and Krishna Prasad founded Kalamandalam Leelamma Memorial Cultural Trust in May 2023.
